Bill Gates and Steve Jobs
Monday, June 15th, 2009This is a timeline of two great computer geeks, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. In this project, I focused on the quotes of two people, to reveal their rivalry and deep relationship. I designed with the elements of two operating system – Windows and Mac OS – which represents Bill and Steve. I used folder for events, message popup for their quotes.

History of My EMail Box : Information design
Wednesday, April 1st, 2009This is the project of visualizing data, reveals some intriguing aspects of my email box. I tried to show what kind of emails I’ve got and how many of them are valuable, how much they are occupying my harddisk space. I parsed and mined my whole 6307 emails of year 2008, from my Outlook data file, then classified with their types – Notice, News, Advertisement, Virus/Phising, Personal and New(Send).
In the first section, you can see the types of whole 6037 emails. In the second section, you can find daily email types and their file sizes. And you can see the replied emails from the In Box-Out Box connections. Finally, in the third section, you can figure out the increasing file size of email box occupying huge amount of hard disk space.
