This is the project from Major Studio:Interactivity – Complete seven projects in seven days.

The Goal of this project is to create and complete one project each day, for seven consecutive days.
There are no rules or proscriptions for the projects that you undertake, but they must be built, and
documented each day in entirety. The project will begin with each student defining a set of constraints
for the week, then working with those constraints, following through and creating something, each day
of the week.

Concept

I usually don’t look outside the window that much, and the
window is often covered with curtain. I want to see what happens in my window view, the financial district in a day.

Method

Record 24 hours image of my room’s window view, using web camera with software that can periodically takes the picture.  Take pictures with 1 minute period for 24 hours. Then, make the sequence of the images into a single movie file. Consequently there will be 60×24=1440 images and become a 1 minute video with 24fps.

Result

I could compile whole 24 hours of images of the William St, and could see how it dynamically changes in one day.
I designed simple guideline on the bottom of the movie, so that user can learn the time of the rise and fall of the sun.
